Human Resources Manager (Bilingual)

About the role

The company is looking for a dynamic Human Resources Manager to lead HR functions for a workforce of around 60 staff in the construction sector. The role requires fluency in both English and Afrikaans and a solid background in construction‑related HR practices.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employee relations and resolve workplace conflicts.
• Oversee remuneration, payroll processing (Sage Payroll) and benefits administration.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and performance management processes.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with South African labour legislation.
• Provide training and development programmes for staff.
• Ensure compliance with the BCEA, LRA, EE Act, Skills Development Act and other relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans.
• 5‑10 years of HR experience within a construction or project‑based environment.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour laws.
• Willingness to travel across multiple sites; a valid driver’s licence is required.
