Human Resources Generalist – Randfontein

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our FMCG client in Randfontein. The role focuses on employee relations and talent acquisition, ensuring HR processes align with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employee relations, including union forums, wage negotiations, grievance and disciplinary hearings, and incapacity management.
• Lead talent acquisition activities: develop staffing plans, recruit, select, onboard new hires, and meet Employment Equity targets.
• Oversee HR administration from hire to resignation, maintaining accurate records and document control.
• Review, update, and implement HR policies and procedures.
• Facilitate job profiling, evaluation, and organisational design initiatives.
• Support change management, provide training, and advise managers on HR processes.
• Prepare HR analytics reports for decision‑making.
• Manage contractors, service providers, and payment processing for HR services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, Labour Law or related field.
• Valid driver’s licence; own reliable car preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of HR generalist experience in a manufacturing, multi‑union environment.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices and South African labour law.
