HR Practitioner – Randfontein

About the role

RCL Foods, a leading South African food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced HR Practitioner to support its Groceries Division at the Randfontein plant. The role will provide comprehensive HR services to the business unit, ensuring alignment with the company’s People First strategy and fostering a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement employee engagement initiatives, including town‑hall talks, recognition programmes, wellness events and communication strategies.
• Act as primary contact for employee concerns, facilitating timely resolution and promoting an inclusive culture.
• Support change‑management efforts by delivering engagement tactics that help staff adapt to organisational changes.
• Partner with line managers on employee relations matters, advising on disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, investigations and ensuring statutory compliance.
• Represent RCL Foods at CCMA conciliation and arbitration hearings and chair meetings with shop stewards.
• Oversee onboarding and off‑boarding processes to ensure a seamless employee lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Learning & Development to drive capability building across all levels.
• Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives to nurture a culture of belonging.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology or Organizational Psychology.
• Valid Code EB driver’s licence.
• 3–5 years of experience as an HR generalist, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and CCMA processes.
