Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

The Human Resources Business Partner will drive business performance by implementing HR initiatives across resourcing, reward, performance, absence management, retention, change, engagement and development. Based in Cape Town, this office‑based role works closely with business managers to align HR delivery with corporate targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HR onboarding and ensure smooth operational delivery, minimizing people‑related disruptions.
• Design and implement staff engagement and wellness programs, overseeing recognition initiatives.
• Conduct learning needs assessments, develop training interventions, and provide employee‑relations guidance.
• Manage absence and attrition strategies, supporting retention goals.
• Provide HR policy guidance, ensure governance and compliance across the division.
• Partner with the Recruitment Manager to translate client briefs into effective candidate selections.
• Support managers in performance‑management processes and foster a high‑performance culture.
• Prepare HR presentations using Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, ensuring accuracy and detail.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills to liaise between HR, business units and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work visibly and accessibly as an operational HRBP.
• Attention to detail, especially when preparing reports and presentations.
• Proactive approach to aligning HR activities with KPI targets.
