Human Resource Development Practitioner (1‑year contract)

About the role
The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government is seeking a qualified Human Resource Development Practitioner to support youth development initiatives. This one‑year fixed‑term position is based in Cape Town and focuses on facilitating and administrating youth programmes, bursaries and Recognition of Improved Qualifications (RIQs).
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate youth development programmes in line with departmental objectives.
- Administer bursary applications, allocations and monitoring processes.
- Manage the Recognition of Improved Qualifications (RIQ) process, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including educational institutions and community organisations.
- Prepare regular reports on programme performance, outcomes and financial utilisation.
- Ensure all activities adhere to relevant policies, regulations and budgetary constraints.
Required profile
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Community Development, Social Work or a related field.
- Demonstrated competence in facilitating and administrating youth development initiatives.
- Familiarity with bursary management and qualification recognition processes.
- Strong organisational, analytical and communication abilities.
