Human Capital Business Partner – Johannesburg

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Human Capital Business Partner to join our high‑performing team in Johannesburg. In this hybrid, permanent position you will work closely with senior business leaders to translate people priorities into actionable HR solutions that drive organisational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to understand people and business priorities and develop practical Human Capital solutions.
• Design and implement tactical people plans aligned with business objectives, covering workforce planning, talent management and succession.
• Provide end‑to‑end HR advice across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and retention.
• Support organisational design, change initiatives and organisational effectiveness programmes.
• Facilitate sessions to educate employees and line managers on HR practices and drive adoption of people processes.
• Use HR data and metrics to identify trends, diagnose challenges and recommend solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Behavioural Sciences or related field (Honours advantageous).
• Minimum 5 years of HR business partnering experience, preferably within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of South African employment legislation (LRA, BCEA, Employment Equity Act).
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and influence business decisions.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills with a commercially‑minded approach.
