HR & Recruitment Administrator

About the role

Our client seeks a mature, highly organized HR & Recruitment Administrator to own the full spectrum of HR and payroll administration. You will work closely with senior management, handling confidential employee data while ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Process the full monthly payroll, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, overtime, leave, deductions and allowances.
• Maintain accurate employee files, draft contracts, confirmation letters, warnings and other HR documentation.
• Administer leave, absenteeism, attendance records and support disciplinary hearings.
• Coordinate onboarding and off‑boarding, manage performance review administration and training records.
• Advertise vacancies, screen CVs, conduct reference checks, schedule interviews and prepare interview packs.
• Prepare HR reports, monthly statistics and provide ad‑hoc support to senior management.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in HR administration and full‑cycle recruitment.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
• Relevant HR qualification.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
