HR Practitioner – Gauteng (Manufacturing)

About the role

Rainbow Chicken is seeking an experienced HR Practitioner to provide comprehensive human resources support across its Gauteng sites. The role focuses on employee relations, compliance with labour legislation, and the delivery of HR services in a fast‑moving FMCG/poultry environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise line managers on conduct, misconduct, disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Investigate and process disciplinary cases and grievances, ensuring statutory compliance.
• Manage housing and site‑related allocations, including evictions.
• Represent the company at CCMA hearings and chair shop‑steward meetings when required.
• Coordinate recruitment permissions, job advertising, interview panels, offers and onboarding.
• Oversee probation reviews, performance appraisals, talent reviews, succession planning and employment equity targets.
• Maintain up‑to‑date job profiles, organisational structures and SAP records.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Human Resource Management.
• 2‑3 years of HR experience and 3‑4 years in an operations environment.
• FMCG or poultry industry experience is advantageous.
• Valid EB driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HR principles, employment legislation and change‑management processes.
• Familiarity with health and safety policies.
• Experience with HR information systems, preferably SAP.
