About the role
We are seeking an experienced HR Officer to join our team in Woodstock, Cape Town. The role will support all HR operations and align people initiatives with business objectives, reporting to the Senior Human Resource Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate recruitment and selection processes in partnership with line managers.
- Support industrial relations, including scheduling disciplinary enquiries and handling grievances.
- Manage performance management activities such as probation periods, appraisals and performance‑related counselling.
- Represent the company at the CCMA.
- Review HR metrics and conduct metric analysis.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees and managers.
- Provide guidance on HR policies and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with department managers to improve work relationships, morale, productivity and staff retention.
- Oversee talent management, succession planning and talent reviews for key positions.
- Facilitate resolution of people‑related issues with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure timely completion of all HR administration tasks.
Required profile
- Human Resources degree or diploma.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- 3–5 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
- SA citizenship and a clear criminal record.
- Residence in the Greater Cape Town area.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in Occupational Health and Safety.
