HR Generalist – Full HR & IR Functions

About the role
We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. The role covers the full spectrum of human resources and industrial relations functions, with a strong focus on payroll administration. The successful candidate will be expected to start immediately, with a target start date of 1 August.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and performance management.
- Oversee industrial relations matters, ensuring compliance with labour legislation and handling employee grievances.
- Administer the payroll cycle, maintain accurate records and liaise with finance for timely payments.
- Provide guidance to managers and staff on HR policies, procedures and best practices.
- Maintain HR information systems and generate regular reports.
Required profile
- Relevant HR qualification (e.g., HRM, BCom HR).
- 5–10 years of experience in a similar HR Generalist role.
- Immediate availability or ability to start on 1 August.
Required skills
- Extensive payroll administration experience.
