HR Coordinator – Hybrid (Cape Town)

About the role

Crescendo is seeking an organised HR Coordinator to support its Human Resources team at the Cape Town hub. The role is hybrid, offering a blend of office and remote work, and focuses on administrative HR processes, HRIS management, and employee services.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to employee and candidate inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Process timesheets, coordinate with payroll, and manage benefits administration including medical aid, pension and provident funds.
• Prepare employment contracts, notices and maintain accurate employee records, both electronic and physical.
• Act as the primary point of contact for daily staff queries, resolve minor grievances and support industrial relations processes.
• Coordinate onboarding activities – set up HRIS access, bank enrollment, building access and support new‑hire orientation.
• Ensure timely enrollment of employees in benefit programmes and address related questions.
• Maintain compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, assist with Employment Equity and Skills Development reporting, and support disciplinary and off‑boarding processes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on HR projects, initiatives and company events.

Required profile

• Resident of Cape Town, able to work on a hybrid schedule.
• National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities with a customer‑service mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS).
