HR Business Partner – Human Capital Specialist

About the role

The HR Business Partner will provide generalist Human Capital support across the full value chain, ensuring the business meets its strategic objectives through effective people management. You will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, shaping people strategies that drive performance and engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business units to design and implement integrated people plans and HR solutions.
• Collaborate with HR, Group, and Enablement teams on organisational design, effectiveness, employee engagement and retention initiatives.
• Facilitate sessions to educate line managers and staff on HR practices and processes.
• Measure employee satisfaction, analyse climate data and drive action plans to improve workplace culture.
• Implement leadership development programmes in partnership with OE, OD and L&D.
• Identify training needs and coordinate development initiatives with the L&D team.
• Support workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management and retention.
• Advise on organisational restructures, change management and organisational design.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of HR partnering or advisory experience across the HR value chain.
• Experience in the financial industry is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Behavioural Sciences or related field (essential).
• Honours degree in a related field (desirable).
• Registered Psychometrist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (desirable).
