HPE Networking Sales Specialist - Early Career

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Networking Sales Specialist based in its Johannesburg office, working a hybrid arrangement of about two days per week in the office. The specialist leads pursuits in their area of focus, collaborates with Account Managers and provides specialist expertise across the sales team, taking prospects from initial contact through to close.

Key responsibilities

• Build and execute a plan to drive growth and profitability across HPE's portfolio, positioning strategic solutions with customers
• Engage customers to identify opportunities and turn their business challenges into IT opportunities
• Maintain a strong, rightsized pipeline and lead pipeline-building activities
• Keep a strong understanding of competitors and partner with Account Managers, channel partners and external organisations
• Contribute to quota setting and future product direction, and establish consultative relationships with clients, including C-suite stakeholders
• Build and run account business plans, coordinate supporting sales activities and renewals, and sell outsourcing or high-value software solutions in strategic deals

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 8-12 years of advanced sales experience in the industry, with progressive quota achievement
• Experience selling similar products or solutions
• Proven leadership in prospecting, negotiating and closing strategic deals

Required skills

• Deep expertise in HPE solutions and competitive offerings
• Strong consultative selling, account planning and revenue forecasting
• Proficiency in program and project management methodologies
• CRM tools such as Salesforce and accurate forecasting
• Knowledge of services sales, software solutions and IT trends, applications and CIO priorities
