Hotel Stock Controller – Johannesburg

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Hotel Stock Controller to join our Johannesburg team. The role involves managing all stock movements within the hotel, ensuring accurate inventory levels and supporting cost‑control initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, issuing and inventory processes for all hotel departments.
• Conduct regular stock counts, reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Maintain up‑to‑date stock records and generate reporting.
• Ensure proper stock rotation, storage procedures and compliance with safety standards.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to meet stock requirements.
• Support cost‑control and waste‑reduction programmes.

Required profile

• South African citizenship.
• Diploma in Hospitality or a related field.
• Minimum four years’ experience in a hotel or restaurant environment.
• Strong understanding of stock control systems, inventory management and cost controls.
• Experience with stock takes, issuing, receiving and reconciliation processes.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and administrative abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
