About the role
The International Hotel School Gqeberha Campus seeks a passionate Higher Education Lecturer to inspire and guide students pursuing careers in hospitality. You will share industry expertise, foster personal growth, and help shape successful career pathways.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in hospitality subjects.
- Develop, update and assess curriculum and learning materials.
- Maintain accurate student records and perform administrative duties.
- Utilise relevant computer software for teaching, assessment and reporting.
- Monitor and improve student throughput and pass rates.
Required profile
- NQF Level 8 hospitality qualification (essential).
- Registration with ETDP SETA as an Assessor (beneficial).
- Scoped by CATHSSETA (beneficial).
- Minimum 5 years of practical hospitality industry experience.
- Minimum 2 years of lecturing or teaching experience.
- Proven record of student success and high pass rates.
Required skills
- Proficiency with hospitality‑related computer software.
- Strong administrative and curriculum‑assessment knowledge.
