High School Science Teacher – Blended Online & Onsite

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated High School Science Teacher to join a reputable online school with a physical hub in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town (Bergvliet). The role blends classroom instruction with online facilitation, allowing you to engage learners both virtually and in‑person.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum for Maths, Mathematical Literacy and Science to grades 9‑12.
• Facilitate online classes, ensuring interactive and effective learning experiences.
• Manage a cohort of up to 24 students, providing academic support and mentorship.
• Communicate regularly with parents and handle routine teacher duties such as exam invigilation.
• Maintain classroom discipline and uphold school policies.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of teaching experience in STEM subjects.
• Qualified with a BED (Senior/FET) or PGCE; SACE registration is advantageous.
• Experience in blended or hybrid learning environments preferred.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in teaching Maths, Mathematical Literacy and Science.
