About the role

Wembley College, an English‑medium independent school in Greytown, KwaZulu‑Natal, is seeking a passionate High School Teacher to deliver Cambridge English Language and Dramatic Arts to Grades 8 and 9. The successful candidate will inspire learners, foster creative expression, and contribute to the school’s vibrant co‑curricular life.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Cambridge English Language to Grade 8 and 9 learners.
• Deliver Cambridge Dramatic Arts curriculum and support its development.
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, standards‑aligned lessons.
• Assess, record and report student progress in line with school and Cambridge requirements.
• Create opportunities for students to build confidence in public speaking, performance, critical thinking and creativity.
• Participate in co‑curricular activities such as productions, speech and drama events.
• Maintain a disciplined, supportive learning environment.
• Engage in pastoral care, staff meetings, parent communication and school events.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification or degree.
• SACE registration or eligibility for registration.
• Minimum 2 years teaching English at high‑school level.
• Experience in teaching Dramatic Arts is advantageous.
