Helpdesk Operator – Bloemfontein

About the role

PathCare is seeking a Helpdesk Operator to join its Bloemfontein branch. The role supports doctors and hospital staff by handling telephone queries, delivering Meditech results and ensuring high‑quality customer service in a medical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent telephone support to doctors and ward staff, including conveying Meditech results and printing cumulative reports.
• Maintain customer and supporter relationships while meeting call‑center metrics and schedule commitments.
• Collaborate with technical and administrative teams on site and adhere to Quality Management Systems.
• Uphold PathCare’s values and contribute to operational excellence.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans with strong literacy, writing and numeracy skills.
• Computer literate with at least one year of helpdesk experience, preferably in a medical customer‑service setting.
• Previous switchboard experience or ability to learn switchboard operation quickly.
• Client‑focused, detail‑oriented, adaptable and able to work under pressure both independently and in a team.
