Head of Finance

About the role

Payment24 is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead its finance function in Cape Town. Reporting directly to the founders, you will shape financial strategy during a period of rapid growth and global expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance team, overseeing day‑to‑day operations such as payroll, invoicing and cash flow management.
• Drive the global expansion strategy, adapting pricing and budgeting for each target region.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, ensuring statutory compliance.
• Develop and manage yearly budgets and long‑term forecasts for all divisions worldwide.
• Maintain internal controls, coordinate external auditors, tax advisors and other service providers.
• Provide analytical insight on sales, unit economics and profitability to support strategic decisions.
• Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure the company meets all financial compliance obligations.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience, preferably in a fast‑growing technology or payments environment.
• Strong track record of managing budgets, forecasts and statutory reporting.
• Ability to work closely with founders and senior management in a high‑pace, entrepreneurial setting.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on driving profitability and operational efficiency.
