Head of Finance – Africa Cluster

About the role

Bayer is seeking a visionary finance leader to steer performance and strategy across its African markets. As Head of Finance for the Africa Cluster, you will partner directly with the Division Head, providing rigorous financial planning, commercial insight, and decisive resource allocation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a network of country Finance Business Partners.
• Own end‑to‑end financial steering: planning, forecasting, target setting, resource allocation, variance analysis and corrective actions.
• Provide fact‑based decision support for field sales, key accounts, licensing, customer marketing and pricing strategy.
• Serve as primary finance contact for the Division Head and sit on the Country Cluster Divisional Management Team.
• Contribute to the EMEA Finance Leadership Team, shaping finance capabilities, AI‑enabled processes and cross‑border operating models.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience in a multi‑country or regional environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into strategic actions.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across cultures and time zones.
• Track record of driving financial discipline, transparency and governance.
