Group Logistics and Distribution Manager

About the role

Astral Operations is looking for an experienced Group Logistics and Distribution Manager to lead outbound logistics and the distribution network across the group. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for ensuring stock accuracy, cost control and continuous improvement of logistics processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage outbound logistics and the performance of the distribution network.
• Oversee organization, procedures, stock and delivery accuracy, and stock returns.
• Conduct month‑end activities and keep logistics costs within the approved budget.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement of logistics processes and internal controls.
• Analyse logistics trends, market conditions and customer requirements to propose improvements.
• Coordinate and manage transportation and warehousing of goods and materials.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and third‑party logistics providers.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms with suppliers while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• A completed BComm degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (post‑graduate diploma is a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a supply‑chain managerial role within the FMCG industry.
• Strong business acumen, financial and analytical capabilities.
• Experience in commercial and contractual negotiations and strategic management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in logistics software.
• Advanced use of MS Office, especially MS Excel.
