Group Finance Manager

About the role

Evergreen Lifestyle, South Africa’s leading retirement brand, is seeking a Group Finance Manager to join the executive management team of its Evergreen Health business. The role will oversee the full spectrum of financial management across the group, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and strategic insight to support the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and interpret management accounts and financial reports for the group.
• Develop draw‑down requests and calculate cost of sales and project profitability for new developments.
• Calculate commission payments to estate agents and review creditor payments.
• Manage VAT and income tax returns and coordinate the annual audit for each company.
• Assist with group consolidation and the drafting of the group’s annual financial statements.
• Produce cash‑flow forecasts and monitor key financial and operational indicators.
• Lead, motivate and manage the finance team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Maintain complete and accurate supporting documentation for all financial transactions.

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ experience as a senior financial manager, preferably in the healthcare sector.
• Chartered accountant qualification or equivalent education.
• Strong business acumen, leadership qualities and the ability to engage with senior executives.
• Highly detail‑oriented, able to work under pressure and deliver accurate results quickly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAGE Evolution or a comparable accounting system.
• Financial modelling and strong analytical abilities.
