Commercial Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Commercial Accountant to join Indigo Brands in Epping, Cape Town. You will ensure robust financial control over trade spend, promotions and rebates, providing insight that supports profitable commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate Trade Term Agreements and manage related accrual percentages in SAP.
• Review and approve Trade Term deductions, perform monthly accruals and reconcile variances.
• Calculate quarterly and annual sales growth incentives, maintain incentive accruals and process related journals.
• Manage fixed trade spend by validating monthly spend with Key Account Managers and raising appropriate accruals.
• Update the monthly Master Pricelist and maintain promo mandates in SAP.
• Load quarterly sales budgets into SAP and support marketing P&L calculations.

Required profile

• Strong financial control and accounting experience, particularly in commercial environments.
• Ability to work closely with commercial teams and key account managers.
• Attention to detail and capability to investigate and resolve variances.
• Proactive approach to managing budgets, incentives and trade spend.
