Grade Head - Early Learning School

About the role

Reddam House Bedfordview, a premium co-educational private school near the Kensington Golf Course, is looking for an experienced Grade Head for its Early Learning School (ELS). Reporting to the Head of Early Learning School, the Grade Head leads a designated grade and ensures excellence in teaching and learning, pastoral care and parent engagement. The school has two campuses, including the BCC Campus for ELS and Junior Preparatory students.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the academic programme within the grade, ensuring consistent and excellent curriculum delivery
• Support educators in planning, assessment, moderation and reporting
• Monitor student progress and implement interventions where needed
• Promote innovative, engaging and developmentally appropriate teaching practices
• Mentor teachers and foster collaboration and professional growth within the grade team
• Promote a nurturing, inclusive and positive learning environment
• Build positive relationships with parents and guardians
• Assist with the day-to-day operation of the Early Learning School

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Current SACE registration
• At least 5 years of teaching experience in an Early Learning or Foundation Phase setting
• Previous leadership experience
