Geometric Engineer / Technologist – Civil Design

About the role

BVi Consulting Engineers is seeking two experienced Geometric Engineers/Technologists to join its Cape Town office. You will work within an established geometric design team, delivering detailed road, platform and earthworks designs for a variety of infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design, construction and as‑built drawings for roads, platforms and earthworks.
• Contribute to feasibility, design and tender adjudication reports.
• Assist in compiling tender documentation and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with the Project Leader and multidisciplinary team members.

Required profile

• B.Eng, BSc Eng or B.Tech/Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 5–10 years post‑graduate experience in a civil/geometric design office, preferably in transportation or mass earthworks.
• Proven ability to produce technical reports at all project stages.
• Strong time‑management, communication and teamwork skills.
