About the role
Starke Ayres, a specialist supplier of vegetable, flower and lawn seeds, is hiring a General Worker for its Research facility in Kempton Park. The role covers the day-to-day handling of seedlings and seed production.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, manage and maintain plant cultivation stages
- Count and package seeds
- Soak, wash and dry seedling trays
- Prepare seedling mix for filling trays
- Fill trays with seedling mix and sow according to the sowing list
- Move seedling trays from the germ room to the seedling house after 72 hours of sowing and put them in order
Required profile
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) is essential
- Experience in the agricultural industry is advantageous
