About the role
A General Worker position is available at Plennegy Research, a specialist supplier of premium vegetable, flower and lawn seed varieties. The role covers seed preparation, sowing and plant cultivation in a research and development environment, based in Kempton Park, Gauteng.
Key responsibilities
- Count seeds, pack them and prepare seedling trays and mixes
- Sow seeds and manage seedling trays in greenhouses and fields
- Transplant, trellis and carry out general plant maintenance
- Identify flowers and perform specialised tasks such as emasculation and pollination according to breeding instructions
Required profile
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or 2 years of experience working with pollinations and emasculations
- Experience in the agricultural industry is advantageous
