General Worker – Recycling & Materials Processing

About the role

We are looking for a General Worker to join our recycling floor, where you will help process electronic waste, catalytic converters and various metals. The role supports daily material recovery operations while maintaining a safe and organised environment.

Key responsibilities

• Dismantle e‑waste equipment such as computers, phones, cables and appliances.
• Identify, separate and sort metals, electronic components and catalytic converters according to company specifications.
• Prepare sorted materials for storage, processing or shipment.
• Safely handle catalytic converters and metal components, preventing contamination or loss.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures, using PPE correctly.
• Report hazards, equipment issues or unsafe practices to supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness and order on the recycling floor and in work areas.
• Support general warehouse and yard organisation, including loading and unloading materials.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production targets.

Required profile

• No formal qualification required; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
• South African citizen, or holder of a valid passport and working visa.
• Previous experience in recycling, manufacturing, warehousing or manual labour is an advantage.
