General Tax Manager – Tax Strategy & Transformation

About the role

Malander is looking for a General Tax Manager to lead the design and execution of a group‑wide tax transformation agenda across a complex multinational environment. This senior executive will shape a future‑fit tax function that integrates global frameworks, enhances reporting and analytics, and supports strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a group‑wide tax transformation strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Redesign and optimise tax processes, controls and operating models across multiple jurisdictions.
• Drive automation and technology‑enabled initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability and reporting accuracy.
• Oversee accurate, timely tax reporting for executive leadership and governance committees.
• Establish robust tax governance, risk management and compliance frameworks.
• Provide strategic tax advice on M&A, restructures, regional expansion and other transformation programmes.
• Lead proactive engagement with tax authorities and manage audit‑readiness programmes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in tax strategy, governance, reporting and transformation within a multinational organisation.
• Proven ability to influence senior leadership and act as a trusted advisor.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of cross‑border transactions.
• Experience managing tax risk, regulatory compliance and stakeholder collaboration.
