General Assistant – Store Operations (Delft)

About the role

We are looking for a General Assistant to deliver excellent customer service in our Delft store. You will be responsible for merchandising stock, maintaining a tidy environment, and ensuring safety standards are met within your designated area.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with product queries, advise on selections, and resolve complaints.
• Merchandise bulk stock safely according to store layout and planograms, and ensure correct shelf price labeling.
• Maintain a clean, obstacle‑free aisle; promptly stock received items and keep the area safe for customers and colleagues.
• Follow OHSA safety requirements, use protective gear, and report any hazards or discrepancies to the Store Manager.
• Report damaged or lost stock and support loss‑prevention efforts.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 10/NQF 3 with at least one year of work‑related experience, or Grade 12 without experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and the dominant local language.
• Valid South African ID or work permit.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays and to perform under pressure.
