GCC Engineer – Safety & Contractor Management

About the role
The GCC Engineer will develop and implement safety systems, liaise with project management, and oversee engineering activities related to contractor management in a mining environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and monitor safety systems and engineering standards.
- Manage contractor activities, including machinery, electrical reticulations and trackless mobile machinery.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, mine standards, Codes of Practice and health‑and‑safety legislation.
- Provide technical advice on project execution and oversee project logistics.
- Lead professional teams, coordinate stakeholders and manage subcontractors.
- Draft, review and update Codes of Practice and Standard Working Procedures.
Required profile
- Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Government Certificate of Competency (Mines and Works).
- Project Management certification.
- Legal responsibility as per MHSA 2.13.1.
