Functional Analyst – Payroll & HR (Permanent)

About the role

The Business Unit Information Technology is seeking a Functional Analyst to support Oracle HR and Payroll modules. The role involves gathering business requirements, analysing and documenting functional specifications, and ensuring system incidents are recorded for future reference.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, recommend and initiate application enhancements to meet changing business needs.
• Configure system functionality for optimal performance, capacity management and availability.
• Provide training to stakeholders to maximise system utilisation.
• Research and evaluate new software functionality and keep the organisation updated on technology trends.
• Coach and mentor trainee functional analysts to minimise downtime.
• Design test cases and perform testing to ensure standards and objectives are met.

Required profile

• National Diploma (N6) in Information Technology or a relevant business qualification.
• Five years of functional analyst experience supporting Oracle HRMS and Payroll modules.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and understanding of business and system processes.
• Familiarity with Oracle implementation methodology (AIM) and relevant legislation such as the Income Tax Act (desirable).
• Valid driver’s licence.
