About the role

Join EF Education First as a permanent full‑time online English teacher based in our Bryanston office. You will deliver conversation‑based lessons to adult learners from over 120 countries, using EF’s proprietary online classroom while benefiting from extensive training and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 20‑ to 45‑minute group and private online lessons for adult students.
• Provide after‑class progress reports and personalized improvement recommendations.
• Correct student essay submissions using EF’s online tools.
• Participate in mandatory ongoing training and, with experience, develop custom lesson materials.

Required profile

• South African residency with a valid ID.
• C2 level English speaker with a neutral accent.
• Completed Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
• TEFL certification preferred but not required.
• Highly computer literate and able to work from the Bryanston office.
• Professional, energetic, and enthusiastic about interacting with people.
• Smartphone required for daily sign‑ins.
