About the role

St Cyprian’s School for Girls is seeking a full‑time History teacher for its High School department, commencing in January 2027. The role focuses on bringing history to life, encouraging students to explore humanity, perspective, identity, power, courage and change.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging History lessons that develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, respectful debate and intellectual risk‑taking.
• Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative methods.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary perspectives and school initiatives.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, such as history clubs or competitions, to enrich student experience.
