Full Stack Software Developer – 6-Month Contract

About the role

Our client, a leading bank in Sandton, is looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Developer to join a dynamic technology team on a six‑month contract. The role focuses on building, maintaining and deploying cloud‑native enterprise applications in a modern DevOps environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and enhance enterprise software applications.
• Provide production support and ongoing maintenance for assigned applications.
• Create unit and system test cases and perform comprehensive testing.
• Manage deployment artefacts in source control and execute application deployments.
• Collaborate with Business, Development and Operations teams to optimise tooling and deployment processes.
• Maintain technical documentation and the asset knowledge base.
• Troubleshoot application issues and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure code follows best practices, coding standards and security requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of software development experience.
• Strong background in Node.js development.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker containers.
• Experience with the Elastic Stack (ELK) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in source‑control and deployment management.
