Front Office Coordinator

About the role

The Front Office Coordinator is responsible for ensuring every guest receives exceptional service, encouraging repeat visits and referrals. This position supervises and trains front office staff, manages front office administration, and supports other departments during management shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and train front office team to deliver courteous check‑in and check‑out procedures.
• Handle front office administration, including financial processes, budgeting, and audit compliance.
• Maintain occupancy and average room rate targets in line with hotel budgets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and disaster‑management regulations.
• Plan staffing levels per shift and manage employee performance, including issuing warnings when necessary.
• Support reception or reservations as operational needs arise.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 with a National Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a front office environment.
• Ability to hold a position of authority, such as a liquor licence holder.
• Subject to fraud and credit checks due to handling of money.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Property Management Systems (PMS).
