Shift Supervisor – Quick Service Restaurant

About the role

To provide effective supervision and leadership to team members by ensuring consistent compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards. The role supports product quality, customer service, people management, and cost control, and acts as relief for the Assistant Restaurant Manager when required.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with CHAMPS standards (Cleanliness, Hospitality, Accuracy, Maintenance, Product, Speed of Service) and oversee routine maintenance.
• Allocate shift responsibilities, monitor team performance, and manage labour, food and operational costs.
• Support training, coaching and development of team members and promote a customer‑centric culture.
• Handle customer complaints, monitor product quality and ensure food safety and hygiene compliance.
• Accurately handle cash, banking procedures and promote upselling and local store marketing initiatives.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent with a valid South African ID and clear credit and criminal record.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience, preferably in the fast‑food industry.
• High personal standards, integrity, commercial awareness and results‑focused attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams).
• Basic financial understanding and sound numeracy skills.
