Front End Developer (Hybrid) – Cape Town

About the role

Morae is seeking a Front‑End Developer to join its Product Engineering team in Cape Town. You will help build modern, responsive web applications that power innovative legal‑tech solutions, working in a collaborative Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive web applications using React.
• Translate UX/UI designs into high‑quality, reusable front‑end components.
• Integrate front‑end code with backend APIs and services.
• Write clean, well‑structured, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and backlog refinement.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity while validating outputs.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Strong experience with React and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design.
• Experience consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
