Forensic Investigator (Insurance)

About the role

Capitec is seeking an energetic, self‑motivated Forensic Investigator to focus on insurance‑related fraud. The role involves investigating internal and external fraud incidents, gathering evidence for disciplinary or criminal proceedings, and recommending preventive measures.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate claims fraud, internal fraud, policy breaches and criminal syndicates affecting Capitec Insurance.
• Identify parties involved, collect and preserve evidence for hearings or prosecutions.
• Analyse control weaknesses and propose improvements, training and preventative initiatives.
• Prepare detailed investigation reports and present findings to management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Forensic Investigator or Auditor, preferably in the financial services sector.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Forensics or related field.
• Knowledge of investigation methods, criminal law and evidence procedures.
• Clear criminal and credit record.
