Fleet Operations Coordinator

About the role

Hakki Africa is looking for a Fleet Operations Coordinator to manage the day‑to‑day performance of its vehicle lease fleet for e‑hailing drivers in South Africa. The role blends hands‑on coordination with analytical reporting to maximise vehicle utilisation and minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Track and report fleet utilisation against monthly targets.
• Monitor vehicle downtime, identify recurring causes and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain a documented status and recovery plan for each vehicle in downtime.
• Support forecast‑vs‑actual utilisation analysis for management reporting.
• Prepare accurate weekly and monthly operational reports for executive use.
• Surface data‑driven insights and recommendations in each reporting cycle.
• Continuously improve reporting templates and analytical capability.
• Maintain real‑time accuracy of internal trackers (location, accidents, downtime, utilisation).
• Coordinate with external service providers, including multinational partners.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and operationally strong professional.
• Minimum 2–3 years experience in fleet operations, logistics, mobility services or a comparable environment.
• Comfortable working both in a service provider’s yard and with spreadsheet‑based analysis.
• Ability to produce executive‑grade reports with zero material errors.
