Fixed-term Data Capture & Paralegal Positions

About the role

The Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality is recruiting for two one‑year fixed‑term positions: an EPWP Data Capture Officer in the Community Services department and a Paralegal in the Office of the Municipal Manager. Both roles support municipal operations and require strong administrative and technical abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and oversee implementation of the EPWP programme, including planning, monitoring attendance, and reporting to the Department of Public Works.
• Engage EPWP stakeholders, ensure compliance with policies, and monitor utilisation of the EPWP grant.
• Draft, vet and prepare legal memoranda, manage contractual matters and maintain legal files.
• Conduct legal research, track legislative changes and liaise with attorneys and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Computer Literacy Certificate, Matric Certificate and a valid driver’s licence.
• Certificate in Office Administration and exposure to public participation (for Data Capture role).
• Certificate in Paralegal Studies (for Paralegal role).
• Minimum three years’ experience in local government, with at least two years in a data‑capturing environment (for Data Capture role).

Required skills

• Computer Literacy.
• Data capture experience (minimum two years).

What we offer

• Salary of R20 916,35 per month.
