Fitter and Turner – Nightshift (Durban)

About the role

You will work in our manufacturing facility on night‑shift, using specialised tools to build, assemble and repair a variety of industrial equipment such as bucket elevators, conveyors and dosing systems. The role also includes managing the tool room and occasionally setting up machinery on site.

Key responsibilities

• Build and assemble parts for new industrial machinery.
• Repair and align broken machine components using precision tools.
• Disassemble, transport and re‑assemble equipment as required.
• Interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Operate and maintain tool‑room machinery (milling machine, lathe, drill press, bench grinder).
• Conduct on‑site visits to assess problems and support production.
• Test equipment for proper operation and troubleshoot issues.

Required profile

• NQF Level 4 Fitter and Turner qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Completed accredited millwright certificate.
• Strong attention to detail and good mathematical ability.
• Effective communication and ability to work safely in a team environment.
