Financial Planning Administrator

About the role

An established financial services practice in Upper Highway, KZN, is looking for a detail-driven Financial Planning Administrator (Advisory Assistant) to provide full operational support across client onboarding, instructions and record compliance. The role acts as the main operational link between clients, financial advisors and product providers, keeping client records accurate, efficient and audit-ready.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main coordination point between clients, financial advisors and service providers to support clear communication and professional service delivery.
• Support client onboarding, new business processing and ongoing servicing by processing instructions and documentation from start to finish.
• Maintain accurate, compliant and audit-ready client records while protecting confidentiality and following internal standards.
• Manage daily administrative workflows efficiently through active system use and teamwork.
• Contribute to business goals by upholding company values, staying professional and supporting colleagues.

Required profile

• Previous experience in financial planning, investments, insurance or a related financial services environment.
• Previous experience supporting financial advisors and managing client instructions.
• A relevant administrative, financial services or business qualification is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate well and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
• High level of honesty and integrity.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
• Advantageous: CRM, Astute and nCino.
• Good communication, problem-solving and time-management skills.
