Financial Planner (Advice & Sales)

About the role

Liberty Standard Bank Group is seeking an ambitious Financial Planner to join its Johannesburg team. You will build and manage your own client portfolio, providing tailored financial advice while driving sales of the company’s financial products. The role offers a clear pathway to own a personal practice within a trusted South African financial services brand.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a client base through strategic networking, prospecting and relationship building.
• Conduct scheduled client meetings and in‑depth financial analyses to deliver expert guidance.
• Empower clients to protect and grow their wealth, supporting them in achieving financial milestones.
• Manage and grow your own practice while maintaining high standards of trust and credibility.
• Achieve sales targets and stay current with industry trends, regulations and accreditation requirements.

Required profile

• Matriculation is essential; tertiary qualification is highly preferred.
• Previous full‑time experience in a client‑facing role.
• Experience in external sales is a strong advantage.
• Own a valid driver’s licence, vehicle and a personal laptop.
• Clear credit and criminal record.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and meet deadlines.
