About the role
The Citi South Africa Learnership Programme in Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) offers recent graduates a one‑year, full‑time immersion into financial compliance and risk management. Participants will develop practical expertise in anti‑money‑laundering controls, regulatory frameworks and data analysis while contributing to Citi’s strong compliance culture.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in identifying, assessing and mitigating compliance risks across multiple business lines, with a focus on AML risk management.
- Support the development and implementation of compliance policies, conduct risk assessments and analyse data to ensure adherence to internal and external standards.
- Contribute to regulatory research, documentation and reporting to safeguard Citi’s reputation and maintain a robust control environment.
Required profile
- Undergraduate degree (minimum 65% GPA) or master’s degree in any discipline; up to one year of work experience acceptable.
- Strong leadership, teamwork and communication abilities, with a demonstrated commitment to integrity and ethical decision‑making.
- Motivation to learn about financial regulations, risk management and a desire to build a long‑term career in compliance.
