Credit & Collection Manager

About the role

The Credit & Collection (C&C) Manager leads a finance team to balance customer credit needs with the company’s exposure, developing a finance value proposition for the market and preparing for future senior finance leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Translate company strategy into departmental targets and hold the team accountable for delivering results.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through onsite visits, timely complaint resolution and approval of credit adjustments within defined guidelines.
• Lead strategic projects such as digitalisation of credit and collection processes and development of value‑added financial services.
• Drive internal‑control improvement cycles, manage audit follow‑ups and oversee compliance checks related to accounts receivable.
• Oversee cash collection, credit applications, payment allocations and monitor external risk factors in collaboration with Finance Business Partners.
• Support Finance IT by testing and improving Credit & Collection software and processes.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of finance professionals, working closely with sales management to resolve credit and payment issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); Master’s degree in Business or Finance preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Credit & Collection or a related finance, consultancy or audit role within a multinational organisation.
• Proven leadership and people‑management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication, with the ability to present financial information to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Strategic business‑partner mindset, influencing key internal and external stakeholders.
• High cultural awareness and an adaptive leadership style.
• Willingness to be geographically flexible, pursue an international career and travel as required.

Required skills

• ERP system experience – SAP preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
