Financial Manager - Motor Dealer, Rustenburg

About the role

Bonafide Human Capital is recruiting a Financial Manager for a motor dealer client based in Rustenburg. The position covers financial control, accounting, asset and stock control, statutory reporting and budgeting. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience at dealership level and must live in the area or be willing to relocate.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure staff follow OEM and company policies, meet targets and deadlines, and keep monthly reconciliations and management accounts up to date.
• Control daily cash flow, manage cash transfers between call accounts and run an effective collection process.
• Maintain the DMS database, manage user access and control passwords.
• Train and support admin staff, and forward salary requirements and adjustments to HR on time.
• Control assets, including weekly vehicle stock checks, and record fixed assets and depreciation correctly.
• Complete statutory returns such as VAT, FIC reporting (Section 28, 29, CTR/CTRA, STR) and goAML updates.
• Prepare monthly commission sheets, floorplan control, standard journals and monthly management account packs.
• Control OEM accounts, verify variable incentives and clawbacks against OEM bulletins, and complete STATSA submissions.
• Prepare quarterly budgets with line managers, present them to the Board, and work closely with auditors, including year-end journal entries.
• Handle leave accounting separately and complete the BBBEE pack (procurement, CSI, ED, SED, skills).

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience at dealership level.
• Resides in the area or is willing to relocate.
• Extensive understanding of stock take controls and availability for twice-yearly stock takes (August and February).

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Daily reporting and financial reporting.
