Financial Manager – Cluster Finance Lead

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Manager to lead the finance function for a cluster of businesses in Pretoria. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, controls, and strategic planning to ensure robust financial performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Managing Director to develop, implement and monitor strategic financial plans for the cluster.
• Manage finance team members, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and fostering a collaborative culture.
• Design, improve and maintain financial systems, processes and policies to support accurate reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial regulations and group policies, including analytical reviews, balance‑sheet reconciliations and income verification.
• Oversee accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, tax calculations, inter‑company processing and reporting to the Group and Board.
• Conduct cost analysis, negotiate supplier rates and drive financial efficiency across the cluster.

Required profile

• CA(SA) accreditation with a minimum of five years post‑articles experience.
• Proven experience managing finance teams and implementing effective succession planning.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, internal controls and corporate governance.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable financial plans and reports.
