Financial Manager – Accountant (Stellenbosch, Cape Winelands)

About the role

Our client, a specialist property financial services provider, is seeking an experienced accountant or senior bookkeeper to step into a Financial Manager position based in Stellenbosch, Cape Winelands. The role bridges day‑to‑day bookkeeping with strategic financial oversight for property and asset management portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyse trial balances, balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes for multiple property entities.
• Oversee SARS eFiling submissions and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts using SAGE accounting software.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting for senior management.

Required profile

• Matric qualification; a relevant financial diploma is acceptable but extensive work experience is preferred.
• Background in property management, development or asset management is advantageous.
• Proven experience as an accountant or senior bookkeeper ready to progress to a managerial role.
