Financial Controller

About the role

A new Financial Controller position is available at property level within a leading international hotel group operating in the Eastern Cape. The role focuses on delivering accurate finance reporting, overseeing administration, and supporting the hotel’s growth objectives while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Manage finance reporting and administration in line with group policies, procedures and auditing requirements.
• Supervise finance staff, ensuring fair treatment and compliance with legislation and internal policies.
• Maintain a professional and orderly accounts office environment.
• Facilitate effective inter‑departmental cooperation to anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
• Work both independently and as part of a team to uphold high‑quality financial standards.

Required profile

• Not open to expatriates.
• Three‑year financial qualification (B.Com, Diploma, CIS, IAC, CCA) at NQF level 5.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role or as an Assistant Financial Controller, preferably within hospitality.

Required skills

• Strong MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with financial software such as SAP, TM1, OneSource.
• Familiarity with operational systems like Opera, Micros, Midas Station7.
